John D. Fisher, 71, of New Carlisle, Ohio, died Tuesday night following a lengthy illness, according to word received by relatives here. Mr. Fisher was reared in the Waveland community. He attended Wabash College and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War I. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Fisher Barone of Birmingham, Mich., and Mrs. Elizabeth Meek of Grand Rapids, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Foster Fudge and Mrs. Paul Couger of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Clifford Banta of Swarthmore, Pa. Mr. Fisher's body is at the Traspel-Campbell Mortuary at New Carlisle. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. - kbz
